NAATI CCL Course Sydney & Parramatta
Englishfirm offer NAATI CCL courses Sydney-wide in Hindi, Nepali, and Tamil. We are an endorsed NAATI training organization.
Credentialed Community Language (CCL) test programs are designed to test an applicant’s language abilities at community level and are usually taken by those wishing to lodge a point-based visa application. Individuals who pass CCL can claim five bonus points for their visa application, and the qualification is valid for three years from the date of issue.
However, CCL is not a professional qualification, and those who pass are not certified to work as an interpreter or translator.
All our CCL training sessions are highly flexible and are offered one-on-one with classes on every day of the week. We offer unlimited access to practice materials, practice labs, and feedback from our professional tutors. Currently, CCL classes are available in our Sydney and Parramatta centres.

CCL Course Sydney and Parramatta
At Englishfirm, we offer private NAATI classes in Parramatta and Sydney that will prepare applicants to successfully pass their CCL test. We offer one-on-one training so that each student is fully prepared by our team of highly experienced educators to gain an overall mark of 63 or more.
The CCL examination is a newly created test designed to assess the applicant’s ability to interpret a conversation between a native English speaker and a speaker who is a native speaker of a language other than English (LOTE). Therefore, the training we offer at Englishfirm is arranged to help students become comfortable switching from English to Nepali, Hindi, or Tamil with ease.
Our online and in-person sessions are flexible, and we’re happy to schedule these to fit in with your busy schedule so that you can take advantage of all the tips and tricks your teacher has to offer.
Our head trainer, Minisha James, is a successful language coach who is one of Australia’s most in-demand CLL trainers. She’s extremely knowledgeable and has skilfully put together our CCL course materials to help students pass their test with flying colours, whether completing Nepali NAATI CCL, Hindi NAATI CCL, or NAATI Tamil coaching.
Our CCL Training in Sydney
Private Coaching
Although one-on-one classes are an initial significant investment, from our experience, we’ve learnt that a personalised approach is the most effective way to prepare for your CCL exam. Typically, students respond positively to private tutoring as it’s able to target a student’s abilities on an individual level without the distraction of other students. A targeted approach also means that, in the end, less time is required to prepare.
Group Classes
Limited time group CCL courses Sydney-wide are run for a four or eight-week block and accommodate 20-50 students at a time. Group sessions can be organised in-person or online, and this type of preparation is the most budget-friendly NAATI preparation course we offer. Group sessions are best suited to applicants who are already confident in their English-language skills and only require a few pointers to help them pass successfully.
Unlimited Classes
When it comes to gathering points for a Visa application, every extra qualification counts. For this reason, we offer unlimited classes so that students who are relying on the five extra points from passing CCL can be guaranteed they’ve had the best preparation possible. A Visa represents a new life in a new country, and we want to make sure our students have every opportunity available to improve their prospects.
Crash Classes
If you’re under severe time pressure, we can organise a course of crash classes to prepare you for your upcoming CCL examination. Our trainers will provide the same training, guidance, and techniques as in any other course, but we will deliver crash course training in a reduced timeframe to fit in with your schedule. It takes a lot of motivation to get through a curtailed course; hence we offer both in-person and online options to make the process as easy as possible.
The Best CCL Training Sydney Has to Offer
Our trainers are all fully qualified, with a wide range of experience across various training programs for non-native English speakers. You can be confident that we have your best interests at heart and prepare all our students as thoroughly as possible for their upcoming CCL examination.
We understand that it can be a stressful and lengthy process applying for a Visa, and we’re here to make the process of gaining extra points for your application as streamlined as possible. Choosing the right training for NAATI CCL Hindi Coaching can be confusing and costly, so it’s important you make the right choice.
We offer world-class training; however, there’s no need to just take our word for it. We provide free demonstrations to all potential students so you can visit our centre and get a feeling for our approach to teaching before you sign up. Book in your free consultation today!

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is the Format of the CCL Test?
CCL exams are taken online and are made up of two different passages of dialogue between a native English speaker and a LOTE speaker. Each dialogue is approximately 300 words, with about 50 per cent of the dialogue in English and the rest in the test language. Each section of dialogue is further divided into segments of not more than 35 words. A chime will indicate when each short segment ends. The tester will pause the recording at each chime and allow the candidate to complete the response. The tester will then restart the recording and play the next segment only when the candidate has finished their response.
How Long Do I Have to Wait for My Results?
All CCL tests are conducted by NAATI online. Results are usually released 8-10 weeks after the test is completed.
How Is the CCL Test Marked?
Each passage of dialogue is marked out of a total of 45 points. In order to pass the test, you need to score a minimum of 29 points for each passage of dialogue, and at least 63 out of 90 overall. You have one repeat opportunity per section of dialogue without any penalty. We recommend you utilise this provision in each section.
You will be penalised for every error in your response. Errors include grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, hesitations, omission, and additions in speech.
You’re allowed to correct yourself if you make a mistake while speaking. Although points will be deducted for corrections, it’s better to make a correction with some points deducted than answering wrong and receiving no points at all.
What Topics Can Be Covered in The NAATI CCL Test?
The CCL test can cover a range of topics, including:
- Health
- Legal
- Community
- Immigration and settlement
- Education
- Social services
- Finance
- Housing
- Business
- Employment
- Insurance
- Consumer affairs
What Are Your Top Tips for Notetaking in The CCL Test?
You are allowed to take notes while completing your exam. Our advice is to:
- Use abbreviations instead of writing in complete sentences
- Develop a strategy that works for you
- Listen and make notes simultaneously
- Focus on listening so that you fully understand the dialogue
- Use the visualisation technique to remember the topics discussed
- Be careful to record names, dates, location, and address accurately
What Will the Best CCL Course Sydney Cover During Preparation?
A course that encourages you to implement theoretical knowledge into practice is the best preparation for CCL you can get. It’s crucial to practice speaking slowly and clearly before your exam, in both English and the test language. You should practice both languages as much as possible before sitting your exam. Remember to maintain a regular fluency that isn’t too fast or too slow and take your time when you answer; a 2-5 second pause is acceptable. Using a varied vocabulary is also important. Expand your vocabulary as much as possible by reviewing your Shabd Kosh Dictionary.
